Yellow hash boxes are intended to stop jams at cross roads and traffic lights. They don't work when vehicles ignore them.

If you look carefully at the very right hand edge of the photo, you can just see that there is a car blocking Mr Tuffnell's exit. Hence an unnecessary obstruction.

Parcel vans, and the companies that run them, have, by the very nature of the job, to run illegally. Parcel deliveries in London would not work if these companies and drivers obeyed the laws on parking, loading (often in bus lanes and bus stops), and general driving.

However, in the suicidal stakes, Tuffnells come way down the list which is headed (by a very long way) by Royal Mail whose drivers have a total disregard for anything and everything which gets in their way.
